Ready to Eat Vegetarian MRE Mexican Rice & Beans Entree Only
A Vegetarian, Mexi-style dish with Long Grain Brown Rice, Pinto Beans, Black Beans, Corn, Tomatoes, and Green Chiles. This is mild and very good, but has lots of sauce. Plan to put it on top of a side dish that tends to be dry, like rice, or stuff in a MRE tortilla. Single-serving, 8 oz. entree. Packaging may vary.

About Individual MRE Entrees
MRE entrees are “ready to eat” and easy to prepare — no cooking is required. They are completely precooked, self-contained foods (military meals) that require NO REFRIGERATION and can be eaten cold, right out of the pouch (although we think they taste better heated, typically with the MRE Flameless Ration Heater, available for purchase separately).

Meals ready to eat entrees typically have a 5 to 7 year shelf life when stored at 80° F — longer if stored in cooler conditions.
